CUATRO ESTUDIANTES DE NUESTRO CENTRO GANAN LA GYMKANA PROVINCIAL SOBRE INSTITUCIONES EUROPEAS
El pasado 9 de mayo la mayoría del alumnado de 4º ESO A y B se desplazaron a Córdoba para participar en la gymkana organizada por el IES Trassierra y el centro Europe Direct de la Diputación provincial de Córdoba con la finalidad de celebrar el Día de la Unión Europea. En dicha actividad participaron 500 alumnos de diversos centros de la provincia divididos en equipos de cuatro alumnos que tuvieron que recorrer las calles de la capital cordobesa buscando la información que se les pedía sobre aspectos varios de la Unión Europea y sus instituciones. Las pistas para encontrar dicha información se hallaban en una serie de carteles diseminados por las calles y edificios cordobeses. El recorrido se inició en el IES Trassierra a las 10:30 y finalizó a las 12:30 en el patio del Palacio de la Merced, sede de la Diputación. El equipo formado por Amador Spínola, Sheila Torres, Carlos Romero y Pedro Rodríguez consiguió llegar en 5º lugar, pero uno de los equipos que les precedía fue descalificado. Tras contabilizar la puntuación de cada equipo el jurado emitió su fallo y nuestro equipo fue declarado vencedor de la gymkana. El premio consistió en un viaje a Bruselas para visitar el parlamento europeo. Todos los alumnos disfrutaron con la victoria de sus compañeros y lo celebraron en el autobús de regreso a nuestro centro.
Fue el Departamento de Lengua y Literatura, con la colaboración de la Coordinación de Enseñanza Bilingüe, el que organizó el evento. Sus miembros no pudieron quedar más satisfechos, y no solo por el resultado, sino también por la fantástica actitud de todo nuestro alumnado. Todo el grupo completo celebró la victoria de Amador, Sheila, Carlos y Pedro como propia, además de mostrar un comportamiento ejemplar todo el tiempo y disfrutar muchísimo de la actividad.
FOUR OF OUR STUDENTS, WINNERS IN THE PROVINCIAL GYMKHANA ABOUT THE EUROPEAN UNION INSTITUTIONS
Last 9th May most of the students in 4 ESO A and B travelled to Cordoba to take part in a gymkhana organised by Trassierra Secondary School and the Europe Direct office from Diputación Provincial de Córdoba. The aim was to celebrate Europe Day. 500 students from different schools in the province, formed in teams of four, had to walk around the streets of Cordoba looking for information about different aspects of the European Union and its institutions, which they needed to answer the required questions. This information could be gathered from a number of posters scattered around streets and buildings. The tour began at Trassierra Secondary School at 10:30 and finished at 12:30 in the yard of Palacio de la Merced, headquarters of Diputación. The team formed by Amador Spínola, Sheila Torres, Carlos Romero and Pedro Rodríguez arrived on fifth position, but one of the teams that were ahead of them was disqualified. After counting up the points that each team had won, the panel of judges declared our team the winner. The prize is a trip to Brussels to visit the European Parliament. All the students were happy to know that their schoolmates had won and celebrated it on the bus trip back to our school.
The Spanish and Literature Department, in cooperation with the Coordinator of Bilingual Education, organised the trip. They could not have been more satisfied, and not only because of the result, but also because of our students’ wonderful attitude. All of them celebrated Amador, Sheila, Carlos and Pedro’s victory as their own. Furthermore, their behaviour was excellent all the time and they truly enjoyed the activity.
